A Real Haircut

December was such a busy month for us and I am just now getting around to blogging about it! We started out the month by getting Blake's first real haircut.  It took him so long to actually get hair that I had only had to trim the back of his hair once before this.  I didn't want to get his haircut because I knew he would instantly grow up and look like a little boy, but when we got asked at church if we were letting Blake's hair grow out we knew it was time. Plus, his hair started looking a little to much like MacGyver hair for us.  So, we took him to a kids salon and trimmed him up.  Here is a picture of the MacGyver hair just before we took him to the salon.

We took him to a really cute place that has fun things for the kids to sit in while they get their hair cut.  Blake, of course, picked the firetruck to sit in which he loved.

We were a little nervous about how Blake would do with someone cutting his hair. He was fine until the lady touched his hair with the scissors and then he immediately decided he was done and wanted to play with their train table instead. Luckily, Eric was able to distract him with the talking kitty on his phone just long enough for her to cut off the MacGyver hair.

Here is the after picture we got of Blake.  He definitely looks like a little boy now, but we loved how it turned out.
