9 Months Old

Blake turned 9 months old last week! I'm not sure where the time has gone. He is changing so quickly and his personality has definitely started coming out. We went to the doctor last week for his 9 month check up and shots and were excited to see that he moved up in his percentages for all 3 areas. He is doing really well and we love seeing him grow and accomplish new things!

Weight: 18 lbs. (30th percentile)
Height: 26 1/2" (over 75th percentile)
Head: 17 3/4" (75th percentile)

9 Month Old Blake-isms

-Sits up really well on his own

-Has 1 tooth on the bottom

-Smiles and laughs a lot

-Sits in front of his toy box and plays with each toy one by one to entertain himself

-Constantly tries to roll over when placed on his changing table and gets mad when you won’t let him

-Gets frustrated that he can’t crawl when he is on his stomach

-Throws his toys, especially when he is in his car seat and gets bored with a toy.

-Starting to show signs of Stranger Danger

-Coughs for attention

-Still has no interest in watching TV

-Reaches his arms out for you when he wants you to pick him up

-Has an addiction to Cinnamon apple puffs

-Puts finger food in his mouth by himself

-Holds his own Sippy cup and bottle

-"Talks" in his crib when he wakes up in the morning and from naps

-Is super ticklish


His Hates...

-Putting clothes on

-Bibs, especially ones that fasten in the back. If he gets really annoyed with it he will take it off himself.

-Having his face and hands cleaned after eating

-His carseat


His Loves...

-Watching ceiling fans

-Bath time

-Feeling the texture of things with his feet

-Playing with his tooth

-Playing with cords and straps, especially attic pulls and blind pulls

-Turning light switches off

-Nemo

-Being outside-He sits and stares at everything and doesn’t make a sound.

-Drinking water out of his Sippy cup
