Blake turned 4 months old on the 6th. We cannot believe how fast time is going! We went to the pediatrician last week for his 4 month appointment/shots and were once again excited to hear how much he has grown!
Weight: 13 lbs. 3 oz. (75th percentile)
Height: 24 1/2" (90th percentile)
Head: 16" (50-75th percentile)
Because he was premature they adjust his numbers so that his percentages are based on all other babies born at 33 weeks.
We really aren't sure where he is getting his height from. He sure didn't get it from his parents! We love to watch his progress, it is so fun to watch him learn new things everyday. Today he discovered his hands and started grabbing for his toys! Here are some more fun facts about Blake at 4 months.
4 Month Old Blake-isms
-He sticks his tongue out at you when you stick your tongue out at him.
-He recognizes familiar faces and smiles at them.
-He hates being held like a baby now. He only likes being held facing outwards and wants to constantly be moving while being held.
-LOVES bath time
-He hates being swaddled. As soon as you swaddle him, he immediately tries to get his arms out.
-He hates tummy time with a passion! The longest we have gotten him to do it at a time is 5 minutes. We are definitely working on that!
-He blows bubbles and talks baby talk.
-He really likes going for car rides and looking out the window. So much so, that if the car stops moving he lets you know that he doesn't appreciate you taking away his fun. He immediately starts crying and then will stop crying as soon as the car starts moving again. Stop lights are a lot of fun!
-His hatred for diaper changes has now turned into delight. As soon as you put him on the changing table, he starts kicking like crazy and will even laugh at times!
-Just recently Blake has started rolling from his back over onto his side.
-Likes to watch TV when it is on, especially The Biggest Loser. He absolutely hates watching Baby Einstein videos however.
We cannot believe how much he has changed in such a short time. It seems like just the other day that we brought him home from the hospital and he spend most of his time sleeping. We are so excited to watch him grow and learn, it is so much fun!

I love the 4 month stage because they start to really show their personality. How funny that he hates watching Baby Einstein. They're not my favorite thing either.
He is getting so big! In fact, I just checked Kathryn's blog, and she did a weight and height post as well. Blake has got her in the weight department, and is not too far behind in height. He is a cutie.
